CRAWLING...ALMOST!!

Kyden is 8 months old now and he is starting to crawl...kind of. He does this adorable little army crawl thing. Here is a little video of it.

Jastyn is a typical 3 year old...I hope. She is super dramatic and emotional! I can totally picture her becoming part of drama club or something in school. She LOVES to perform her dances for everyone. She puts on her "dancin' dress" and "dancin' shoes", as she calls them. Her "dancing dress" cosists of anything in her dress up clothes from Tinker Bell fairy dress ups to old Halloween costumes that Pompa Warrant (grandma) bought her at the local thrift store. Her "dancin' shoes" are usually her sandals. She is such a fun girl!!! I hope to get some video of her on our blog of her singing Alice Cooper or Twisted Sister. She is just like her daddy!!

Kyden is the most amazing little boy. He is so mellow...unlike big sister!! He loves to cuddle and go to sleep. He always smiles everytime we lay him down to sleep. He's growing up so fast. We wish we could keep him small, but that just isn't going to happen.

WOW!! It's amazing how the time flies!! It's been a couple months since I've updated my blog!! It's not so easy to find time now that I have the 2 kiddos. Here are just a few pics of Halloween. First we went Trunk Or Treating, then we went to Jordan Landing for some Trick Or Treating (waste of time). Then we did the good old fashion Trick Or Treating in the neighborhood.

3 MONTHS OLD TODAY!!

I'm 3 months old today!! I'm a happy baby that loves to smile especially at my big sister!! I've laughed just a few times, but I will get the hang of it soon and give lots of laughs for everyone to hear!! Here are some pictures of me that mommy and daddy want to show off!!

First haircut

Kyden has already had his first haircut at just 7 weeks old. He probably could've gone longer without, but I really like stylin' his hair in a fauxhawk and it was just getting too long for that. It was interesting to say the least. I had Chad feed him a bottle while I did it. It actually looks pretty good though.

Here is a short video of Jastyn singing "you are so beautiful to me". It's kinda hard to hear, but she sings..."you are so beausisull to me, can't you seeeee". She got it off the movie, The Little Rascals. One day she actually sang it to Kyden...sooooooo PRECIOUS!!

KYDEN CHAD WARRANT

Kyden was born on May 18th at 3:40 pm. He weighed 6 lbs 15 oz and was 21 inches long. He has lots and lots of hair! We are all doing good and are back home now!! YEAH!! Here are some of his first pics!!

Not much is new right now. I went to the doctors today and not much has changed since last week. If he doesn't come this week, then I will be induced on Monday!! I can see the light at the end of the tunnel!! WAHOO!! I can't believe he will be here in less than a week. We are all so excited!! We are hoping that Jastyn is ready for her new little baby brother. It'll be interesting to see how she reacts to him. We are trying our best to prepare her for the new arrival. We bought her a little present that she will get when we come back home from the hospital that is "from" Kyden. (thanks Kerryne for that GREAT idea). And we plan on giving her lots of attention afterwards too!! Hopefully that will help her adjust! If you don't hear from us by Monday, then plan on a phone call sometime Monday!! I hope everyone is able to come visit us. I know a lot of peeps have been sick recently. You better all get better soon!! LOL!!

Baby update!!!

Last week I went to the doctor and I was dilated 1.5cm and 20% efaced. Today I went again and I'm 3cm dilated and 80% efaced! I'm progressing well. The doctor seems optimistic that he'll be coming before his due date which is May 23rd.
Chads work said he can't have his cell phone out on the floor til the baby can "come anytime". So I told Chad that he might want to start taking his phone on the floor. He called me back within minutes and told me that he RAN to his locker and got his phone. LOL!! I told him I didn't think it'd happen today or even this week, but he was so excited!!! Silly Chad!!
Of course, I'll be calling everyone when he does decide to make his grand debut!! I just wanted to let peeps know where I am!! I have every intention of posting a pic of my belly before I have him. So we will see how that goes!! LOL!!

Here are some pics of Kydens room!! I picked out about 10 different crib beddings and had Chad decide. This is his pick!! It turned out pretty cute, we are excited!! I can't believe he will be here in about 2 months. We are counting down the days!!! Everyone keeps asking if Jastyn is excited!! Well...I don't think she even cares. LOL!! I try to get her to feel my belly when he is kicking, but she won't even come near me. We are trying to prepare her for the arrival of her new baby brother. I hope she adjusts ok to him. I know it's going to be hard for all of us. I think Jastyn will be a big help with her new baby brother. She will be a GREAT big sister!! If anyone has suggestions on how we can make this an easy adjustment for her, please let me know!! THANKS!!

Kids say and do the darndest things

Chad and I decided we need to start writing down all the funny things Jastyn says and does. She keeps us laughing, that's for sure!! Here are a few that I can remember!!

We went to Grandma and Grandpa's house the other day for Grandpa's birthday. Jastyn fell asleep on the way there, but when we pulled up and I went to get her out of the car she woke up. She looks arounds and says, "POMPA!!" I get her out of the car and she says, "POMPA TIME!!" Chad and I were CRACKING UP!!

Right now we are potty training her...or trying to at least! Well, for some reason everytime she goes poo poo in the potty, she will wave bye-bye to her poop and blow it a kiss. SOOOOO FUNNY!!

She's been on this dancing kick for awhile now. She tells me she NEEDS to dance. So, we put on her dress and "dancing" shoes. She HAS to have them on. Then she will tell us to turn on the "mookick" (music). She is my little girlie girl!! I LOVE IT!!

Lately when she has a naked little bum, she will turn it towards us and say, "look at my butt" and then she slaps it!! Should I worry about this one??? LOL!!

Then just last night she puts her sunglasses on and says, "chicka, chicka BOW WOW!!"

There are so many more that I can't think of right now, but maybe in a few months I will have a part 2 to this!! It gives me SOMETHING to blog about!!!

I really don't know where she gets all this from, but she is HILARIOUS!! She will catch Chad and I off guard sometimes with the things she says.

IT'S A BOY!!!

I had an ultrasound done on Monday, December 22nd and found out that we are having a BOY!! It's just what we wanted and we cannot be more excited!! We were pretty much the last hope in Chads family to carry on the family name. Chad is so proud that is getting that chance!! It's a HUGE thing to him.
We kept the news from all our family and friends until Christmas day. Most of them didn't like the idea!! Oh well!! Chad and I were able to keep our mouths shut, much to our surprise!! LOL!!

Well, our Christmas was really good!! Jastyn actually got into it this year. She got a Princess Castle that she hasn't stopped playing with since she opened it. It was so fun to see her get excited!! I will get pics posted real soon, I hope!! I am really not very good at keeping this blog up to date. Maybe that can be my New Year's resolution!!

May 23rd

I had an ultrasound done last week to get a better idea of how far along I am. The new due date is May 23rd. I was not quite as far along as I first thought, BUMMER!! Oh well!! I was only about a week off! And I am NOT having twins, thank goodness!! I kept complaining to my sister about getting so chubby already and she said that I was probably having twins. I told her if I was pregnant with twins then I was giving her one of them. Luckily, for both of us, that will not be the case. One at a time is PLENTY for me, especially around the terrible 2's.
We got Jastyn in a "big girl" bed and she has done SOOOO good. We have been very lucky with her. She seems to transition well to change.
I will get picks up soon of my "bump"!! For all ya'll that want to watch me get FAT!! Keep checking back for my growing tummy!!

It IS Possible!!

Men can ask for directions and so can their sperm!! We know this is true. The doctors said that Chad's "little guys" were pretty much incompetent, (only giving us a 3% chance of conceiving on our own) but we sure proved them wrong. Just look at Jastyn...she is living proof!! And we have once again proven the doctors wrong. We are having another baby!! Chad is feeling pretty manly at this point. Although, he keeps questioning me about cheating on him. Yes, that is right. He asked my sister if she thought I had the capability of cheating on him.
Even better...his response when I told him. Here is how it went down...
(let me set the stage- we put a "BIG SISTER" shirt on Jastyn)
Me: show daddy your new shirt
Chad: Big Sister?? She's not a big sister!
Me: not yet
Chad: ummmm...(pause). Are you trying to tell me something?
Me: yes
Chad: your pregnant?
Me: YUP
Chad: no you're not!
Me: yes, I am
Chad: how do you know?
Me: I took a test and it was positive
Chad: how many tests?
Me: 2, but I pee'd on the wrong side of one of them
Chad: take another one
Me: no, I'm sure I'm pregnant
Chad: are you sure it's mine?

NOT the reaction I was hoping for, but what can ya do?
Grandma Nae's reaction was something to!! Took her awhile to figure it out even AFTER she saw Jastyn's shirt!! FUNNY stuff!!

CALIFORNIA

Ok, so we all survived the trip to California...BARELY!! LOL!! It sure is INTERESTING traveling with a toddler. This was Jastyn's first plane ride and trip actually. She did pretty well on the plane ride to California. Possibly because it was 7:00 in the morning and I had to wake her up to leave the house. The flight back was an entirely different experience. She didn't get a nap before the flight. So I'm thinking she will just sleep the whole flight. RIGHT!! What was I thinking?? She couldn't hold still to save her life. She was screaming and squirming and standing up pestering the other passengers. Luckily there was an older couple behind us that entertained her a bit.
I think Jastyn's favorite part was Sea World. She really liked the "BELIEVE" show with the Killer Whales. She also liked meeting the characters at Sea World and Disneyland. She would just go up and give them all hugs. SO CUTE!!! We dressed her up as Cinderella at Disneyland and we got lots and lots of compliments. Her little cousin, which is 5 months older, was dressed up as Tinker Bell. And apparently the orientals worship blondes and red-heads. I can't even count how many times we got asked if they could take or get their pictures taken with our little kids. WEIRD!!
It ended up being a pretty expensive vacation for us, even more so than we thought. We were at Sea World watching the dolphin show. Well, we walked in a little late so we didn't really hear them mention that we'd get soaked. So, my husband had the video camera out and I was on my cell phone when out of nowhere...SPLASH!! We were DRENCHED and so was the video camera and cell phone. Both of which are ruined now. LOVELY!!
OH!!! And we went on the Celebrity homes tour in Hollywood. After the tour we decided to go back and try to find some of the homes again. We found Dr. Phil's house and we sitting there admiring his Tuscan-style home when we look up on the balcony and see Robin waving at us. She went into the house and came out again with Dr. Phil. He talked to us for a bit. It was pretty cool!!

Ok, so my sister, Tara, was giving me crap yesterday because it's been a whole month *GASP* since I wrote a blog. I guess my life isn't exciting enough to write a blog more often. Let's see...11 more day and counting until we leave for California. This will be Jastyn's first vacation and we are all so excited. Check back for lots and lots of pics!!
We haven't been up to much in the past month so I really don't have much to blog about. Wow, I sound so pathetic!! Jastyn is talking so much now. She can count to 10...on a good day!! LOL!! And she is learning so much every day. She keeps us laughing!! I think she is definately going to be outgoing like her daddy. Although she does show a shy side once in awhile.
